Need Help setting up Streamed music :(

Hi Guy's & Girls :)

First post here so be nice to me

Im pretty much a total noob to SL and im ejoying it a lot , I just got my first bit of land and im very happy , Now that my house is up and full of a few thing's it's time for a spot of gardening .... :)

I would like to set up a music stream to my plot of land ..But i just cant seem to get it figured out :(


I normly use Shoutcast.com for all my music need's and can normaly be found tuned in to somthing on the breakbeats page >> http://www.shoutcast.com/directory/?sgenre=Breakbeat

The thing is i would like to add one of the stations to my plot and have untill now not been able to do so , I have tryed to copy and past a direct URL of the feed into the media section of my land editor ...no good ... I tryed the location of the feed .... no good .... I tryed the IP of the feed ... yes you guessed it ... no good :(


I know by now that i must be way off the mark with the method's in trying so i realy could use a little help , Im not the sharpest tool in the box so if you can help please give it to me in " easy Noob " language i will understand

Ty in advance and i may even thow in a free gift for the kind person who manages to enlighten me to the point that i get some form of music to keep me relaxed while i plant my shrub's :))

Hi again guys ... :)

Thany you for your help and i can tell you that over the past few days we have been enjoying breakbeat music on my land....Its great :)


Thing is i would like some more URL's / IP address's ... anything dance music would do ...but breakbeat would be the prefered :)

i usually use winamp ... its part of shoutcast, but it allows you to see the exact ip/port you need to get a music stream (vs www.radio.com/filename.pls)
