::sigh:: for some odd strange reason, local lighging is not lighting up my avatar!

It is lighting up my jewelry and the ground around me, but not my avie! a friend also said that they didnt see it lighting up my avie either. This is just odd!

Am I missing something in my settings? Am I a really just a ghost? Am I in an alternate universe?

Attached is a pic of me with a light prim (sorta exaggerated the size of the prim and hence the amount of light to prove my point), and one without a light prim for comparison.

I have the same problem. Seems like there is a limit of two lights that can light up an avatar at once. My photography depends very much on local lights, so what you mention have been a big problem for me for several months.

You may have to relog many times to get your lights shining on your avatar. Sometimes deleting cache and teleport multiple times solves the problem. Sometimes that solution doesn't work. In the sl 1.4 days, removing and attaching prims worked, but doesn't seem so anymore. Sometimes local lights doesn't seem to shine on avatar for hours, then suddenly they do. And I'm speaking about local lights you move to get a different light on avatars.

If you or somebody else discover a solution, please post it here. Oh, the sun and other local lights close by play a huge difference too!
