Here is a problem I have with not only with Second Life but with some video games (ones that use OpenGL, as far as I can tell). They run fine for a while, maybe a half hour or maybe two hours, but eventually they get to a point to where animations start going crazy. Looping animations get hyper and jittery, while non-looping animations speed from beginning to end, jumping from first frame to last frame instantly with nothing in between. Shutting down Second Life, or a game, and re-starting doesn't help; I have to reboot my computer to get another half-hour to two hours of standard performance before things go haywire again.

Often when I do a reboot related to graphics going crazy, I get a message relating to ccc.exe (Catalyst Control Center) not shutting down properly.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

My grahpics card is an ATI Radeon 1600, my OS is Windows XP. I have the latest graphics card drivers, I downloaded them today. I've actually had this graphics problems for months, always hopefully that tne next set of drivers will fix it, but a fix never comes.
