anyone use a Dell XPS M1210?

Hi, i am seriously considering getting a Dell XPS M1210 , i really need a small screen laptop, does anyone use this model here in SL? i dont want to buy a new laptop just to have one of the constant upgrades knock me out of SL, i already have a DEll 9300 at home and it works awesome but sheesh - its a monster at 17'', super performance isnt the most important issue for me- i really need a small laptop and to be able to at least hop in and see my friends without a upgrade keeping me out, any input would be greatly appreciated-- tytytytyty Songie ( tickled and peeeeenk)

I haven't tried the XPS M1210. But I have tried SL on the Sony VAIO SZ series, which has similar specs (Core Duo or Core Duo 2, and NVidia 7400 graphics); it works very well on that system, so I would expect the XPS to be happy with SL also. Just make sure to get at LEAST 1GB of RAM, and 2GB would be better; consider adding it yourself, because Dell's RAM prices are sometimes excessive.

Right now, systems like those (around 4 pounds) are the state of the art for highly portable SL use. None of the really tiny ultraportables have the necessary graphics hardware; they're all using stoopid integrated stuff.

I have the m1210 with the 256 mb nvidia graphics card. SL works flawlessly. I have all my graphics settings maxed out and it's perfectly smooth and fast!
