Hi everyone,
I bought new high spec iMac two weeks ago and SL was running smoothly. Then later it started to slow down each session after 5 or so minutes. Does anyone have any idea why?

When you say "high spec" -- exactly what model do you have? What size screen? What graphics chip? How much RAM do you have installed?
I'm playing SL on a 20" 2.4GHz with 3GB RAM and the ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO graphics chip. I get between 15fps in a crowded busy sim and 55+fps in an empty sim. I don't notice any slowdown even after playing for several hours.
