For the last two days, I'll get on SL and either within seconds or minutes the game just closes. No warning, no logging out, it just closes. I'm getting so upset. I've completely uninstalled the game, including th cache folder and temp folder, and it is still keeps happening.
This has happened once before, and it lasted a day and stopped, but now we're going on two days and I can't do my job or run my business! Please Help!

Kelly, Are you in UK & registered with Tiscali broadband?
Reason I ask is that I've had the same problem and now I may as well give up on SL until I find a good affordable ISP as I can't connect at all now, I get 0KBps when I get in! crash if I move or try to tp.
If you are with them or any other ISP that Throttle speeds/Block ports necessary for SL/Traffic shape, that could be the problem - If not just ignore this.

I have an older computer with a G-force graphics card and windows 2000 and this has been happening - same deal - uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted, cleared cache cant get it. I also have newer computers running xp and using nforce and x500 and better cards and those all work fine on the same network. Its not the ISP, there is something introduced in the last few versions that causes it, be it graphics or chipset or OS or something, dunno. I feel that it happened when they updated the graphics to support better reflections. dunno.

sounds like what i had, new client made me really crashy
So i did the usual delete (not just cache) C:\Documents and Settings\*username*Application Data\SecondLife delete wherever you installed SL delete windows temp files (habit -.-)
download a new sl, reinstalled on another foldername, still crash now and then usually once every 5 ish hours tho.
