When I try to log in all goes well untill it goes to Precaching. Then the program shuts down and I get the crash log sender. It worked fine before the update, what's wrong? I have an AMd 1ghz, 512mb ram, geforce 4 128mb and windows xp. Need help!

I crash everytime I try to login. I was able to play it yesterday for about 20 mins till it crashed then. I used to play back in the 1.5 days (about a year ago) and I never had these problems. SL was totally different back then. I'm somewhat disappointed.

Probably unrelated. But my client was crashing when I used the new nvidia forceware 81.85 drivers. So if you're using those and crashing, try rolling back to a previous version.

I had version 61.x and it still crashed. Still does it after I updated the drivers to the latest ones. I don't think its a video problem if it crashes while precaching. Its probably an error with memory management on the client side or the loading of a texture. Either way I can't login and I am still pretty upset. I went away from SL for almost a year and have thought about it ever since, because I didn't have DSL, and now I can play it and the darn thing crashes. Good thing I am on a Free account right now or I'd be heated. I hope linden does something about this. If not then things have changed dramatically since 1.5.

I was in Sin city when I tried logging in. I logged my alt, and could log in with her fine. Just to test I tpéd her to sin city as well and tadaa, it crashed. Seems like this is sim-related.

using a 6800gt with 81.85, have yet to actually crash anywhere in SL since update, sure slow tho <.< Was on the sim Sin city, doesnt crash for me , so that would be your client, only thing i can think of why some crash is cause cache get corrupted when caching back (See firewall/wireless/virusprog/default blabla <.< , after the update its utterly slow in SL for awhile easy 48 hours, but i doubt it will be any good til least friday on this update. I have 5 pc's none of them has yet to crash in SL, all use nvidia cards, 77 to 81.85 drivers, 1gig+ ram on each, Yes i wouldnt do squat till least fri/sat (oh wait weekends are even worse ;P) in SL right now, cause of the slooow slow slow response on doing anything, maybe i can finally do some RL things Did you guys delete cache in SL before installing new?, i just deleted every Secondlife folder i had, and downloaded , then installed, need to cache everything again and the small settings not to hard to set again.
