Anyone ever heard of this? I am logging on, and every couple of seconds or so, my AV takes a step backwards. I'm not sure whats causing this. its a real pain. If I have a menu open, like trying to log off and he takes a step back, it closes the menu... like I clicked an action. Cant figure whats goping on. I deleted and redownloaded the exe, still getting the same result. Anyone else?

Do you by chance use a wireless keyboard and/or Mouse? Dying batteries at times do that, sending wrong signals to the keyboards/mouses signal receiver.

I did the SL dance again, ( removed the program, all folders...reinstalled...) now when I log on.. my AV walks backwards constantly instead of every few seconds... if I turn on the movements display..I can see the back arrow flickering as if I was hitting the arrow key on the keyboard....but I'm not.....I cant access any menus to try changing any graphics settings because the constant back movement wont let anything else get done, I checked my keyboard in note pad to see if I had a key sticking.... doesnt appear to be..... anyone got any ideas? My drivers have been working fine for everything.....video card is cool temp wise.

I have an issue like that, but not the same.

Strangely it does not happen every day, and at random times.

My Av will randomly move, when I do nothing, no one is around, or anything. BUT, it does not move a lot, more like walking in place, with a VERY SMALL distance it travels, not even 1m. Then my move lock freaks out and I start to do the fall animation. Having the move lock off me, my av of course falls for a second then is ok.

Really strange, but as I said, Rare.

This is going to sound real stupid, I know, but check to see if your "down" arrow key is stuck.....or sticking on occassion. I had my "enter" key like that once and it drove me crazy trying to figure it out. The darned thing did not do it all the time..........which might be what you are experiencing.

Thanks for the tip Peggy, but I had thought of that too....I usually check by opening notepad or wordpad, and typing a few lines of text..then seeing if the cursor moves or does anything strange.....Everything is working normally in all my other 3D apps, ( Maya, Photoshop, 3DsMax, Blitz....etc..... I'm thinking this may be a damn driver issue with the newest version of the viewer.... I really dont want to start changing drivers....all my other 3D apps are running smooth as silk as well as my games....its just SL. But I would like to see or hear of anyone else having this issue. Thanks all.....

I sometimes have weirdness with my AOs, both the newer ZHAO 2 and the older ZHAO. Many other AOs are based on it (or what it's based on).. It's like it's stuck in some state from the last time I was logged in - it's fine when I'm moving around but when I stop, it does a weird move like when I land from flying.

If you have an AO, you might want detach then reattach it when you start seeing the step-backwards stuff. That usually fixes mine up, until it happens again.
