Hi all,

Bit of a newbie so might be posting in the wrong place but perhaps one of the Lindens can help me.

I've been trying to create an offline model viewer as I wanted to create something that helps designers with seam editing. Originally I started with the .obj files that Linden provide on the website but I've found them incomplete/incorrect, particularly with UV data.

In an attempt to get correct data I've investigated the .llm mesh files included as part of the game which hold the real mesh's used by the game. I've managed to extract 99% of the data from these files but I have one last question:

How does the mesh relate to the skeleton? I know the mesh is deformed by the skeleton size/volume changes but I'm not sure how the mesh is associated.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated as its the last step in being fully able to replicate the real Linden models.

Regards

I believe Chip Midnight painstakingly mapped out all of the UV data in a quest to produce a high-resolution set of clothing templates. He might have some pointers for you.

Thanks Lex,

I've seen Chips work already and needless to say I'm highly impressed. The information I'm looking for though is slightly more technical, although I will IM Chip just in case.

Thanks again.
