Do you have firewall software installed on your machine, and is it configured to allow second life?

Have you ever had any bans/suspensions from sl?

Have you contacted support@secondlife.com? Have you tried the support phone number?

Well, as it is a Friday night, and Linden Lab doesn't "do" weekends, your best bet is to find your SecondLife.log file and post it here and maybe some kind fellow player might be able to identify what is screwing up.

Please be aware that the log file may contain information that may allow someone to identify the real you, so you may want to inspect it before doing that and remove those bits. If you don't know how to do that you could mail it to introvert.petunia at gmail.com and accept my word that I won't use any personally identifying information in it. I can't promise I can cure what ails your SL, but I will try.

On a Windows Machine, the SecondLife.log file is usually in C:\Documents and Settings\<your Windows loginname>\Application Data\SecondLife\logs. This directory may be "hidden" depending on your Windows explorer settings, but you can still get to it by putting that name into the "Address" box. On a Mac, I have no idea where the log file lives and it seems as if the Technical Support section of secondlife.com is not working right now.

Sorry that's the best I can offer from here. If you send mail to support@secondlife.com you might hear back from them on Monday. Good luck.

CORRECTION: The Support section now seems to be running, you might find http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=TechLoginIssues useful.

Yeah really. :)

If you get a message to email support, and it's been "happening for a while" why wouldn't you email support? And if you have, what did they say?

Sounds like another greifer post to me. :D

I presume you are referring to post #1 in this thread. Post #3 looked a little more sincere.
