Ok I have stopped playing SL in a full screen mode. I don't know why but it seems to crash randomly and this is the error I got:

Runtime Error:
C:\program files\second life\newview.exe

Program has ended abnormally (or something to that extent)

Anyone else had this happen? The one time I was able to keep using my computer after this crash the grapics were all screwed up.

Amber-

According to the crash log that got us us you're running Windows XP without any Service Packs. Since Microsoft does fix critical issues as well patch security flaws with these you should update to at least Service Pack 1 to get Second Life up and running and, preferably, Service Pack 2 with all associated critical updates.

I don't know why but I cannot install the service packs, it keeps telling me something is invalid.

What is the exact error message? The "something" is probably the important part. ;^)

My Windows XP isn't exactly kosher. I'm pretty sure there are quiet a few systems like that too. I use a third party program to get security updates and patches. Since windows is looking like its not going to work is their a way to run Sl on Linux?

There isn't a Second Life version of Linux. Due to the core operating system enhancements of the Windows Service packs, if your installation of Windows isn't considered a valid install for the purposes of installing Service Pack 2, there may not be much I can offer for assistance with crash issues.

Well I have a new install of Windows Xp and have SP2 installed. Again SL has crashed. I don't understand but I have taken one of my sticks of memory out just to try it and for some reason SL didn't crash or I wasn't on long enough to see if it will crash. I submitted a new crash log, can you help?
