Sl Crashing All The Time! Help!!!

Hey, recently downloaded the latest version of SL 1.15.1 (3). Now everytime i login to SL my avatar starts off with no attachments, i.e. hair, shoes, watches.... So i tried to teleport to another Sim, then all of a sudden my hair is back and some other attachments but my avatars face has no texture.... so i just ignor that and try to get on with my daily jobs as normal, then after 5-7 mins SL crashes on me.
Last night before the scheduled-downtime on the wednesday this was happening every time I logged on....I must of crashed at least 50 times .... so then wednesday arrives and the main grid is off line for over 4 hours... I thought to my self ah i carn't wait.... then after the maintanence i log on and guess what...? nothing has changed.... I'm still loging on with no attachments and i'm still crashing after a minimum of 5 mins.
Now before, the 1.15.1 (2) version did not have this problem but as you have now made new updates compulsory for all users to use SL i cannot even download the last version of SL the one that worked fine with out all this crashing and attachments not loading oh and texture missing as well. Im annoyed as much as all the other people who are experiencing the same problem my last question is when is this gonna be sorted out? The Lindens seem to be spending their time on reserching new features such as Voice chat to add at a later date but why do that and spend time working on it when they could be sorting out the problems of the latest version of SL? Why add electrics to a house when the foundations have not been built yet...? This is my question, all i want to do is use SL with out it crashing is that possible....?

Yes even tho I'm currently troubleshooting other problems, I've found that my character too logs in apparently missing attachments and hud elements. I either have to Teleport or wait for a period of time before I can see them. I wonder if its just a client issue and that you look fine ingame.

Since I've been troubleshooting, I've declined to upgrade to the new version. So I'm thinking that it's probably a database issue if I have the problem too. *Shrugs* cant be sure, but it's a pretty small part of the problem, probably unrelated.

Those crashes are more important.

Edit: Have you tried deruthing to fix the texture and attachment issues? I heard it helps.

How would i do that?
Also i have stripped my avatar of all attachments and gestures and it still comes up with the unable to load gesture then it crashes.... I'm naked and its still crashing

What is it that people do that makes their old install files go away?

The Second Life install and uninstall programs don't delete the old install files.

When you download a new optional version of SL, don't delete the old install files until you are sure that the new version works.

The old install files are probably still on your hard drive, unless you deliberately removed them.

I deleted every thing to do with SL off of my computer then downloaded the version you suggested and i still keep crashing. I dont understand.... How can this be an issue if i have downgraded... *sighs*

Problem Resolved: Lindens must of changes a setting or something, im not crashing anymore.

I am still crashing alot since 1.16.0 Update
I can stick around for 10 minutes, then Crash.
Teleport... Crash...

EDIT: Cleared Cache and it seems to work again

Idownloaded the new update yesterday and posted in blogs for help, as I couldnt even get my log in page to come up without it sending me to the crash logger, will I continued to do more researching on bug fixes, and found some relief.. there are workarounds to the bug fixes. so I tried what the lindens had suggested on the bug fixes, and redownload the 1.41 version, and couldnt believe it, I was able to access SL.. but.. heres the current issue im having now, and I cannot figure out, or find anywhere the help for this issue, I have no sound in SL.. I tried and checked everything in preferences, everythings fine there, but evidently some are not holding, which indicates to me, its an SL bug.. I haven`t seen anyone post problems with their sound either, my sound, speakers are fine when i play my itunes.. so it has to be SL bug.. when I log on, my sound slider is all the way down, so I try turning it up.. yet I still hear nothing.. wonder if others are having this same issue? and is there anyone that could make a suggestive fix for this newest problem?

I am on the same place chatting with someone => crash
I am NOT doing anything for a while => crash


not working for me. cleared cache, but still crashing every couple minutes.

i also removed everything regarding SL and re-installed latest version => no luck, still crashing.

This issue seems to be a growing one, I've had the same problems ever since 1.15.1. None of the updates has helped, nor has uninsalling/reinstalling. Every 10 mins or so I suddenly go into AFK modus, and a few moments after that I crash. It's starting to get annoying...

Same here. I can't stay on longer than 10 minutes, no matter what I do. If I stay put I crash, if I try to shop, I crash (way to salve L$ I tell you!), tps make me crash. You name it, I crash.

I had never had this problem before, and I can honestly say, it royally sucks

I got like 5 crashes in a row 30mins ago, never ever so many in the row. Now i cleaned my cache and its up for now, any suggestions what else i should do? Hope this will be fixed soon.

If clearing out your cache corrected it, that's all you can really do. More than likely it was just corrupted for whatever reason the SL demons decided for the day and it won't happen again until they decide it's time. Good luck!

Yeah it has been fine 3,5h now, so cleaning cache in my both os's helped much, ty.
