Child prim movement upon link

I have been witnessing an odd bug over the course of building a complex object. Once the object's prim count was sufficiently large (120+ prims), I started noticing that random child prims within the object were moving about 0.001m upon linking new prims to the object. (It may actually happen upon simply selecting unlinked prims along with the linked object... not sure about this.)

I have found that this only occurs if you add new prims to an already-existing linked object. When I segmented the aircraft into smaller sections and built with unlinked prims, there was no more movement and I could again reliably build with the high precision I needed.

Luckily this workaround works well, but unfortunately it took a week and 3 full rebuilds to figure this out.

Cubey Terra has confirmed that he has also witnessed this behavior in his more complex builds, but I haven't really mentioned it to many people about it until now. So... if you're building complex objects that require absolute precision placement, heads up!

Yes, this is a known problem. There is more info in this thread .
