Heya. I've been playing (Cough, I should'nt use that word), using Second life for a few weeks now using my ATI Radeon 9550, however the game's framerate is pritty bad (Varying from around 5-20fps, high pritty rarely), with no advance features pumped up. I'm looking for a graphics card which will be able to handle these advance features whilst maintaining a framerate of at least 15-20fps, and which is'nt too expensive (Under £100 / $150) Would anyone recommend any graphics cards? I've also heard that Geforces tend to work better with Second life, however my motherboard is apparently 'optimized for ATI' and even runs on an ATI processor. Does that matter? Also, is there any kind of video / commerical / trailer / movie contest going on?

Really depends on your system, SL depends alot on cpu, ram , then vid card, mostly cpu, so putting a faster vid card on you wouldnt really get the big wooo experience unless you have a decent cpu. Good luck getting 15-20 constantly, i cant even do that and i use x2-4800 cpu , 6800gt card, SL is just killing fps depending how many people are near. Recommended?, nv6600 card, SL and Ati has issues, some dont most have. eeh motherboard optimized for Ati? utter lie , thats like they where selling pc for windows "Optimized for windows 95" early days, hehe, dont belive it ;p.
