I wonder if someone has answered the following: (Starts with av standing on pavement in a WA)... taps "Fly" key, presses and holds "forward" key....(does not press "up" or "down" key)
1 - Is a there a set rate of climb or descent ? Based on time/distance or terrain? Other?
2 - Sometimes my av will hover at fixed altitude when I let go the movement key, other times it slowly descends, usually to hover at a lower level. Any explanation?
Sidebar- a little off topic? When expelled from someone's property, and forced into the "falling" animation, I usually am forced to log off. Is there a quicker way to "reset" my av and continue my "tour"?

I usually notice this after a lag spike (cause drawing all the stuff moving by), or after crossing a sim boundry...the avie then is losing alititude (never seen it gain)....
so i don't think there is a real reason besides lag, boundry, etc..but don't think it is planned..

Well, you may/may not know that there's a "flight ceiling", above which gravity is stronger than the magical flight force that keeps you up. Hence, flight-assist gizmos are made to allow higher flight.
