I recently purged many of my calling cards because they were people I never communicated with, aside from the initial "hi! -hi! *trade cards*" ritual.
But, I am surprised I still recieve notification when they go online / offline.
Also, I've left a couple of groups, due to the reason above *AND* the fact that they spam like hell.
What do I know? Here I am, still recieving announcements from them.
Anybody else having the same problem?

Deleting a calling cards no longer removes your calling card for the other persons inventory. To stop receiving the online notifications you need to remove the person from your Friends list. I imagine the group spam you are receiving is actually a conference IM (initiated by right-clicking a folder of calling cards and choosing "Instant Message All Users" . Since there is no way to take your calling card back from these people the best way to avoid the spam is to ask the person initiating the IM to delete your calling card.
