Unable To Connect

"unable to connect. Login packet never recieved by login server"

I've changed nothing since last log in last night...

I've read some other related threads about this error, but there is no clearly defined solution from what i can tell.

So to a linden please, is this account related considering I've not changed settings?

Can I provide logs?

I have teaching to take care of in SL

Problem solved...

Ok so I thought about this, and thought hard about what might have changed over night from saturday through sunday.

Now the thing is in Uk we have daylight saving time, so on midnight saturday the clocks were set back one hour in UK. Now my winxp system clock was set to be on daylight saving and did in fact switch back an hour.I booted on sunday and all was correct time wise.

However, I recall I disabled the "automatically synchronouse with internet time server" option in the system clock (I run audio apps and less is more). And this was the problem SL had issues understanding the system clock and I guess issuing a valid certificate.

I hope this might help someone else who could well be pulling hairs out.
