Crashing on "Initializing World"

Hello...

I'm crashing on the new client 1.18.1.2 when I try to log in. It gets to initializing world and crashes. I've tried clearing cache and it still crashes.

Can anyone help?

Im getting the same issue.

Running
Windows xp
core2duo 6700
2 Gigs of ram
Nvidia 8800 gts

Can someone please tell me what to do? I done the caches and still crash at login.

did you download from the sl website or using the updater (or whatever you called it)?

you can roll-back to the previous win os version here (http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-secondlife-com/Second%20Life%201-18-0-6%20Setup.exe) or maybe try the nicholaz viewer (http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com)

some might have an issue with the old settings, delete the secondlife folder here:

C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\SecondLife

this is a system folder so might be hidden but it`s there


also, in prefs->general, set "show start location"
in the login screen u see a new filed of "last location", change it to "Salin", my home sim with 0 lag and easy buildings to avoid any problems u might have where ur trying to login
