oki dokes...i would luv great replys on this as its getting annoying.
Just got back from a weeks off in lisbon.. and well i come back download the new version of SL and while i stand around in game i start seeing like my hair turning into funny matrix tectures..
This goes for lets say a crate of boxes on the floor and also the textures in my shop on the wall suddenly switch too something completley different.
Until i zoom into it then they change back..
ill post some pictures of what im seeing.

like the textures on the wall will suddenly go too colour ful stripes like the idle screen of a TV if that makes sense.
Anyway herer are the pictures.

Pleasssssse let me know how i can fix it..im sure there are others out there with the same problem.
And yes im on a mac and have a ATI card BUT this only has happened after the update..i also reinstalled SL and it still does this.
thanks

Even that texture at the back of the picture that says demo on it isnt actually there once i zoom in..

helppp lol

Sandy, you can't go back to an older version. When the Lindens updated their server software, it meant we all had to do a Viewer update, too.
I suggest 2 things:
1. Clear your cache...(and I suggest for this once, do it by hand. Go to ~/Library/Application Support/SecondLife/cache
(where '~' is your mac 'home', probably your name. :-)
Throw that cache folder into the trash.
2. Start SL, but before logging on, set Preferences as follows:
-Draw distance to 64
-in the ADVANCED GRAPHICS TAB, turn OFF Anisoptropic and VBO
-Graphics Tab, turn OFF all the 'SHADERS' at the top.

Now try. SL should run fine.
Its possible that the cache clearing was all that was needed.
Slowly turn ON the shaders until SL is its old vibrant self.
If one of the shaders seems to cause the problem, well then, the solution is to leave it OFF:D

If these tips don't work, Report Back. ANd provide more details on your mac...which model. how much memory. What version of the OS, etc.
:)
