I have an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 and had a problem with the 1.10.0 (34) version. The client crashed for no particular reason 3x in a row.
ATI is not a helpful company when it comes to support for their Mobility products, and manufacturers can be VERY slow to update their video drivers, if they ever do...
------------
Just posting my solutions that worked for me. Thanks to a guy named Nosmo in-game.
1. Go to www.omegadrivers.net and download the Catalyst 6.5-based Omega Drivers.
2. Uninstalled ATI Uninstaller and ATI Catalyst software in Control Panel/Add/Remove Prgs
3. Reboot 'puter
4. Use Driver Cleaner Pro (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Driver-Cleaner-Professional.shtml) to remove both ATI and ATI Uninstaller.
5. Reboot computer
6. Check to make sure video settings does NOT say you have an ATI card by clicking Display Properties and looking at Settings screen.
7. Install the Omega Drivers.
My system is performing perfectly now with all options turned on, incl Bumpmapping and cloth, avatar verteces and local lighting options.
I hope this helps someone else with the same card. The Omega drivers supposedly work all the way up to the X1900 series card...
