I wonder how mant prims can an Ava have on without crashing/problem? Any suggestion - limit - best to have..???? /Tina - The very EXAKT PrimEater (Some one called me that and as TOS forbid mention of names i leave it out _ hi there my love  )

There is no limit. You can attach half a sim's worth of prims and lag the crap out of everyone if you so desire. Good luck teleporting

The max number of prims in one linked object is 256? Multiply that by the number of attachment points your avatar has which is 30?. Yes, you can wear half a sim's worth of prims on your avie if you wanted. Meh. Eggy beat me to post.
Is there a crashing threshold? I have never heard of one but some people with low end computers might have problems if they went to a crowded club with the average person wearing 300+ prims on their head. But I think the only real answer is, "Use the smallest number of prims to achieve your desired goal."

Given the impact attachments have on other users and the caps placed on other types of prim usage - plots, vehicles etc I think this would be the ideal place for LL to look at introducing sensible limits if they don't already exist.

My X (in SL) calls me a low prim ava.. .(He are right!) -. BUT I am curios.. Tks for AL answers and now its time that a technical Linden answer - maybe?.

Also depends on the complexity of each prim that is attached. I've seen people with thousands of prims attached with minimal detrimental effects to the sim. Its just the people looking at them that suffer.
