I can log in and play SL fine. Here is my problem. Whenever I use Find for anything, my entire network just dies. The only way to fix it is to reboot my cable modem.
I am running Windows XP on 3 machines on the network and SUSE Linux on the 4th. I have a Linksys BEFSR41 Router. Cable modem is a COM21.
The machine running SL has no firewall running and no AV software installed (I have Symantec AV running but removed it, to see if that solved the problem and it didn't).
Anyone have a similar issue or problem or know of a fix/workaround?

When you say "Find" do you mean the Windows XP "Find" that lets you search for files? If that is killing your network it sounds like the program might be a trojan, because there's no reason for it to hose your network. The other possibility is that you may have some ISP specific software that "find" is conflicting with. Have you spoken to your provider by chance?

No the find I refer to is "Find" in SL.
It is the only thing that does it.
I have scanned everything with SpyBot, Ad-Aware and Symantec and Norton. System is clean.

Are you running multiple instances of SL? Does this happen on any computer you use or just one? Have you tried designating a port for SL to use? Are you using port forwarding? Have you updated the firmware on the router?

Have you updated the firmware on the router? No, I am not using multiple instances. I have not had the problem on any other computer, but I have only run SL once or twice on another machines. Not sure how to designate a port, but I will look into trying that. Not using port forwarding. Yes the router firmware is the most recent.
