SL Stays resident in memory

Whenever I log off of SL, Secondlife.exe shows up using around 40k of memory on the task manager. This not only is hogging up mem, but also prevents SL from starting unless Secondlife.exe is removed via "End Process Tree" in the task manager. This has been happening for a while, but is starting to get old. Computer (not SL) crashed this morning requiring Safe Mode startup and System Recover. Everything is back, but it was a tense couple of hours while I got it up and running again. This PC (less than year old Gateway 505GR) is used PRIMARILY for SL. Very little else is done on it. I have no idea if SL had anything to do with the crash, but the memory resident problem is an issue. Ran virus scan after restore this morning, nothing found. Any ideas?

I just noticed this happening on my computer after SL crashed several time in a row. I've killed all the copies and am going to try logging in again. Hopefully I can stay logged in this time.
