Inability to View an Object's Properties

Possibly done as a countermeasure to all the griefer attacks, but I still wonder...

Why I can no longer see the properties on other people's objects?

Two things I consider important:

1. The object's creator
2. Number of Prims

-Many times I see something I like and I would like to know who built it in order to find out where to buy it. Can't do that.

-If I go to a store and I am looking at furniture or something else, I would like to know how many prims the object has. I do not want to buy for example a table only to find out when I rezz it in my land that it has 250 prims ...

I cannot even see the properties in objects from someone that gave me full edit rights to her stuff, if they are locked. So I am thinking that is the issue, if an object is locked, you can't see the properties.

Comments? Sometimes I just think I am going crazy from spending so much time in SL and start imagining things ;)

Cheers,

Pablo

You should still be able to see the owner and creator. Do you have "select only my objects" set in the menu?

I didn't know about that option Argent mentioned, but I just downloaded and completely re-installed SL yesterday and you can definitely select other peoples' objects and see creator at least (don't recall specifically about prim-count) with the default client settings.

Look for that menu option, and if you can't find it, try a full client un-install followed by a re-install. Download the client here.

That did it.

Thank you!
