Ok Let me Update the problem I have with some new information. As I said in previous posts this is my problem. As I log on to sl a window pops up saying that the clothing is still downloading. It starts but is lagging horrifically. I do not think it is my connection, the connection indicators for most of the time are in the green. I dont think I have a virus because I scanned and cleaned them out recently. My firewall is down, so its not a firewall problem. Its impossible for me to upgrade the drivers on my laptop normally but I had a friend who helped me find another way to upgrade to the nvidia 84.21 driver. WAIT *looks again* The driver changed back @_@ to the 2004 version. Every time I try to update it says I dont have the software @_@. Is it because im not downloading the right drivers? I did go to the Nvidia Website. I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 with Penitum M processor. Windows Xp Professional with the service pack 2. A Nvidia GeGorce Fx Go 5200 Graphics card 32 Mb (not the best but people are telling me it should be fine) 3. I have a wireless connection but it NEVER gave me problems in the past and I know it isnt a connection problem. The latest thing I investigated is this. I found that Sl is now taking up alot of running space so to speak. at some points its using over 100,000 kb of mem and the cpu is up over 90% usage or more @_@. Could it be my drivers? Or somthing else? Help ^^

The very first thing you need to do is to sort out your graphics card drivers. You may well find that the drivers from the nVidia site will not install - take a look for the Omega Driver instead ( http://www.omegadrivers.net/ ) But when you come to install it, remove ALL currently installed drivers for your graphics card first - there is probably a utility to help with this on the nVidia site. Then reboot, and just install the new driver. Other than that, 100Mb is very small for Second Life in memory - mine goes over 700Mb memory most of the time, and it will always use all the processor time it can get, since it is mostly CPU-bound, and it is the processor time it gets that determines your frame rate. Once you get your drivers sorted, let us know what else is going wrong.

From: Bitzer Balderdash You may well find that the drivers from the nVidia site will not install - take a look for the Omega Driver instead ( http://www.omegadrivers.net/ ) As far as I can tell, Omega Driver doesn't support nVidia anymore and hasn't for some time. I doubt that you can get an up to date driver there.
