I downloaded the new verison of SL not two hours ago. After it was all compleated (presumably it downloaded compleatly, since I wasn't given any message otherwise), I tried to log on. But I instantly got this message:

Unabe to connect to server.
Could not resolve domain name: username.agni.lindenlab.com

What is this all about? How can I fix it and get on to SL? I tried various times and got the same message. Is anyone else having this problem?

I suspect that your software firewall has not been updated to allow the new SL installation access to the Internet.

If you have a software firewall running on your machine - it reads like your firewall has blocked newview from accessing the Internet.

Windows XP firewall: control panel -> windows firewall -> exceptions -> add program [Sedond Life].

Norton Security: -> personal firewall -> configure -> program control -> add [brows to C:\Program Files\SecondLife/newview.exe

Those are the only two I know about, others here may know more of them.

I get that a lot. I think there is something wrong with my DNS servers... sometimes i have to try 3 or 4 times before connecting successfully.
