Lindens,

Gray goo attacks...annoying and even more troubling is how long you are taking to respond/fix. You are being OWNED by the script kiddies. Sad.

BUT (from your blog entry this morning)

>>Unfortunately, during the course of the update, we discovered that it included a bug which caused objects purchased in-world to be fully permissive.

What the hell is THIS? If I am to understand this...things that were sold for a period of time had full permissions? I would like some reassurance from the Lindens that the entire game was rolled back to a point before that bug was introduced last nite.

You need to realize, that SL is not a game, but an eCommerce site. Think of what would happen if Ebay suddenly decided that all current auctions would be won at a zero bid? How about if your bank decided to dump you bank account into someone elses? It is no different.

Your credibility is really being damaged here. Regroup.

And FIX IT.

/rant off

Hey, I know that you're very angry but the Linden Labs Team are doing their best to rectify this I'm sure, and you can complain all you like it won't help for this moment, there's alot to be dealing with when you think about the flurries of attacks.

Well, as frustrating as the "flurries of attacks" are, they do not have quite the same permanent damage potential to a large number of individuals as having all of their items suddenly just given to the public for free with all rights.

There is really no question that having everthing suddenly go full-perm is a much higher level of wrong, and it's quite understandable that people are stressed about that.
