Nvidia GEForce GO 7800 GTX/Dell XPS M170

I have logged in 6 times total since the update. Nothing is rendering. I can see portions of my house. My avatar is not rendering, just her hair is visible (yes I tried changing groups). My fps is through the roof, up in the 70s, but when I try to get my little ghost avatar to sit, it sets my camera to the edge of the sim. If I stand still to wait for things to render, the client times out, and I get the message Second Life (program not responding). I can't see anything. I can't move. I open my inventory and nothing is there except empty folders.

What is going on?
Does anyone else have this issue?
What can we do?

Intel(R) Pentium (R) M processor, 2.26 GHz
2.26 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
Nvidia GEForce GO 7800 GTX 256 MB
1.5 DSL dedicated line
McAfee Firewall/Virus Scan turned off

The drivers/chipset/BIOS were all updated a month ago. I'm checking to see if there are other new drivers now. I just don't understand why it was working (albeit badly) on Tuesday and is not working at all today.

Update: trying to IM Live Help doesn't work. My IMs are not showing up in the window. Tried to IM others, also not working. Tried to chat: also not working.

Update: tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I tried turning down all my preferences. This did not work. Now when I log in my avatar is not visible at all and my camera is set to a sim edge, then I crash apparently, but I can't tell if I've crashed because the client does not close, it just leaves me there in limbo. I could send an IM to my friends, but my name is not even showing in the IM window, just theirs and the time stamp. For some reason my IM to livehelp did not show up at all.

Any information at all? Anyone out there?

I'm getting the same thing San, so its not just you. they really borked up this update. I hear of many others that have this issue so waiting to see what LL does and how fast.

Thank God! Someone responded! Thank you Lone! I had begun to believe the apocalypse had happened and it was just me and my computer, alone on the planet. Whew!

oh my.. for so long I belived I was the only one to get those problems, after having checked all : connection tests, drivers updates and such, I still have the same awful issues.

For two weeks I :

Can hardly see something around
I see often the line of the horizon (just)
I don't see my money
I don't see my location
I don't see my friend in my friend list
Nothing in my inventory
Nothing rezzes around
When I see my stuff, I cannot sit down on poseball or I am in the middle of nowhere with a blue screen
My packet loss bar is going crazy
I don't get the chat or the IMs fully
the slide bar before entering sl takes forever to precach and unfortunately download clothes (when it appears it is not good I know this...)

I uploaded latest drivers, uninstalled and installed the game, checked my internet connection, made test against viruses and spyware, my computer seems sane.

Lately :
I crash before entering sl, getting "sl does not answer" sooo much time...
All is not fixed at all, it is getting worse by hours...

I am upset and feel lost, I pay rent, and own land. I have businesses and got work to do, friends to meet. I am addicted to sl, and it drives me just nuts. I planned to own kinda large large land and today I wonder if it worth spending so mucn money in something virtual and that does not work that well...

I don't have the answers I am sorry
