My friend just signed up and is having some problems in game. We adjusted all his settings to the recommended to fight lag. The big problem he is having now is that any time he crosses from one sim to the next his packet loss spikes and he lags out. As in he walks right into the ground, or threw stuff.
Any ideas what might cause this?
His PC is XP running on a Dell Dimension 8300 P4 2.59ghz w/ 1gig of ram, graphic card fits requirements.
He has AV and a router but they are configured with all needed ports open as listed.
