Every time i have ever upgraded a software product in the past, it was because it offered improved performance and or features. So, here we are with verision 1.6 of SL that does neither.

I regularly crash, or freeze. Been doing it sooo much that i have started counting the seconds that my av can't move. It averages between 10 and 15 seconds and sometimes gets as high as a whole minute (yup, that's 60 seconds). And please don't get me started about how other things aren't working either, like tp's still not working, the ground swollowing you up and forcing a relog, attachments disappearing, and now the permissions on textures being really messed up.

I have just about every setting in the prefs set to the lowest value possible or off and the problem persists. And I do turn every other program that runs on my computer off before I start SL up.

So, in all honesty, I'm paying X amount of dollars a month for this grief? If the next version isn't an improvement I will be forced to sell all my land and come back to SL when things are really fixed. If that ever happens. (Guess you can tell I have lost faith in that happening in the near future, huh?)
