Lag Nightmare this Week

My partner and I have been suffering terribly this week with lag are we the only ones ?
Far more than usual, we have been around a while so we know it can be a problem. This week the games has gotten just about unplayable. The new viewer didn't help, made it worse.
Her PC is cpu maxed out now, its just a nightmare ?
Anybody else suffering this badly, anybody know if they are doing something ? I read the blog but not sure that is addressing lag.
I repeat this isn't the usual problem, it makes the sims we usually go to unplayable

Music streams are dropping out all over, this is a nigthnmare

The game is horribly laggy for me too. I just started though, I guess I had bad timing. Hope things get better or that we at least get more info.

Dunno since the last update I'v had packet loss and lag plus random crashes never had it this bad before that

I had same crashes before hand, still don't see packet loss.

You are not alone in the lag issue. For the last 3+ weeks I have pretty much been stuck in the same spot. All of my graphics settings are as low as they will go and I have done everything suggested for reducing lag on the client side. Honestly I don't know what is going on. Earlier today my packet loss was 180%.... not sure how they calculate packet loss with this client but that seems a bit high... lol. It's been frustrating. So much so that I have sold my land and downgraded my premium account back to the basic free account.
I know this thread is about 5 days old but this issue is still a problem for me.

Still a problem for us as well.
Cutting back on bandwidth has helped some, and cpu upgrade has been ordered.
I think the recent upgrades upped the load on the client and increased the network traffic

My download speed is at the recommended 500. My cpu is 3.0 GHz and I have a .99 GB of RAM. I have tested my router and had the cable techs test my connection. Nothing wrong with them. The speed tests on my connection come back at 5.9 Mbps download and 300+ Kbps upload. When I press the control+shift+1 to bring up the status box, currently the ping for the sim is 200,000+ msec, but when there is no lag it is under 200 msec. I have had my IP address changed (just to make sure I covered all the bases on my side) and that didn't even help. Also I have downloaded the new "optional" client and that didn't help. The old client has been uninstalled and reinstalled, this also didn't help. None of my other online activities are having trouble, just SL.
So I am fresh out of ideas.
