Problem with Linking Objects

Whenever I attempt to link objects together I get a message along the lines of "You do not have modify rights on these objects. Please check that none of the objects are locked and that you are the creator/owner of the objects."

I've created objects after this message so I KNOW I am the creator/owner of them. I then checked if any of the objects were locked, and none were. I then checked to see if any of the objects were transparent, again, none were.

I can still change the objects length, height, and things of that sort, but I just can not link them. Any help would be appriciated.

I have also tried using "Live Help" but that was no help.

Sounds like one of the objects in the set you are trying to link is not made by you.

Live help, was no help?, thought they knew about this by now, sometimes prim can become unlinkable, trouble is you cant tell wich one it is, only way to fix it is to link what you can till you find it.
(insane fun isnt it... one at a time..slowly...)

Then copy that one (if you cant you have to delete that prim) delete old , it should be linkable, been around since forever i can remember, its rare nowadays but still around.

Second reason you see this is the sim is just to slow to update , and doest get who owns this and that prim before you link.

moonshine, i checked to see if i created the objects and i did.

thili, i cannot link a single thing i create. i just tried to link a 2 cubes and it said the same thing as always. i also tried what you said about linking 1 thing at a time, and that didnt work either. i think i may just be slow to update.
