FireGL cards are Cad/dac/MCAD' cards, not really ment for games , also a DirectX® 8.1 card wich dont support SL's ripple water, buildt for work not really anything id use for games.

Not sure if Omegadrivers work for that one.

Actually from what I understand, like the GeForce/Quatro cards, Radeon/FireGL cards use the same chipsets with the latter having higher clock speeds and extra instructions for professional 3D rendering. A Radeon can be modded (soft or hard) into a FireGL (a rather slow FireGL, but still faster at pro 3D rendering then Radeon settings) so the reverse should also be true since at that point your just enabling or disabling extra instructions in the drivers. But as for the DirectX support, I don't think SL uses DirectX for the Pixelshaders since rendering is all done in OpenGL. Pixelshaders I think is a hardware thing, not software. Either way I don't think the card supports ver2 PixelShaders either, maybe 1.0 or 1.2, but not 2.0.
