Where's my shiny?!

I logged in today and noticed that nothing was shiny. I suspected that perhaps the update had switched it off, so I went into Prefs to turn it back on. The box was still checked, but I had no shiny! I toggled Shiny Objects and relogged. Then I turned it back on and relogged again. Still no shiny!  I already bug reported it, but I wondered if anyone else was having this issue. |

Not on my end, Marcos. Maybe it's a mac-client specific bug?

I logged in from work and shiny functions properly here.
I wonder if it's something to do with my ATI card in my laptop?

Marcos, just before I logged last night, I flew past a known-shiny object (AnneDroid's rocket ship). It was dull grey, all polish apparently beaten out of it by the SL sun. Or shiny isn't working for me, either. SL 1.5.14 ATI Radeon 9800 Pro Catalyst 4.5 WinXP SP2 |

I know on many cards, shiny things aren't shiny at night... (no light to reflect off). Is this what you guys are referring to?
