Max Bandwith In Preferences

My Max is now set at 1200kbps and i am still going into the green(i have asdl 2048/256 kbps)Do i need to increase or decrease my setting ?.

I also have an ADSL line at 6000/512 but I keep the setting between 500 and 700 kbps. Except of very rare occasions I've never seen a peek SL download ratio of more than 700, and usually when I visit a new location the peaks are between 300 and 500.

Good advice. Turning the bandwidth slider up increases the workload of each computer (read: avatar) around you...and can actually reduce loading time in busy sims. Midian City even demands its visitors set the bandwidth slider at 500 before leaving the arrival hub. 500-700 is a good average I think...and of course...jiggling the network slider in slow-loading sims will sometimes cause it to load much faster. (A bizarre quirk, but it works.)
