Hope this is the right forum - neither the furniture seller nor I can figure this one out.
Bought a house. Added my furniture, a lot of which has poseballs and scripts and such (sofas, showers). All was good. I went on a shopping spree at one shop and got all the rest that we needed - a kitchen set, bedroom set, office, and bathroom set. Rezzed them at home, they all looked fine except the green "for sale" L$ sign when hovering over any of the objects (maybe 20 in total for all the sets). Clicking the bathtub, for example, brings up a Do You Want to Buy this... window - from myself. I checked Not For Sale in Edit, then clicking on the sink, for example, instead of starting the water running gets a pop up saying "The Item Doesnt Appear To Be For Sale." Which I know, since I just dropped almost $4,000L on all of it! The maker took it back to fix, sent it back, and it's exactly the same. We are all at a loss. The maker had some suggestions and we tried them all. All other furniture in the home works fine, regardless of when purchased or where placed or who does the interacting. I tried buying it from myself at $0L, anything we could think of. Nothing worked. It even interacted in the shop, just not in my house.
Please tell me there is some magic permission we are missing, and I dont have to send all this back? TIA to anyone who may know what to do.

This is only a guess on my part, since I'm still relatively new in SL, but it could be that one of the prims inside the linked set has been accidentally marked for sale.
Try clicking on an offending item to Edit. Then select the edit linked parts and click through each prim in the object to find which one is set for sale.
This error could happen if the set was unlinked at some point, then linked again with a different root prim.

Regan, thank you...I am willing to try anything at this point. Every item in each of the four sets is behaving this way, so I may have some major editing to do, but if it will fix it then it's worth it.

Right click, select "Edit"
Click "More..."
At the bottom of the window is a pulldown for what the "left click" does.
Change it from "Buy" to "Touch".

That was what I was hoping would work also, but it's greyed out on every object - no option to access that pulldown menu to change it From: Argent Stonecutter Right click, select "Edit"
Click "More..."
At the bottom of the window is a pulldown for what the "left click" does.
Change it from "Buy" to "Touch". EDIT to add: I just noticed some of the pieces ARE set to "Touch," rather than buy. I still get a Buy popup on those too.

This is a very long outstanding bug (I started reporting it in June, a liason even verified it at the time and filed one as well).
Reproduction: * rez a prim * set for sale, and left click default to "Buy Object" * make sure the prim is no modify for the next owner
Have someone buy the prim, and then rez it and you'll get the bug. The prim is stuck for sale (click it and it'll say it doesn't appear to be for sale, hover the mouse over it and it shows the L$ sign, click it and it'll select it like it would if you were editing the prim).
If the creator is willing to help, insist that they give you a copy with left click set to the default touch. I'd guess that when it's rezzed it tries to set the left click action back to the default which is touch, but since the prims are no mod, it can't be changed so it gets stuck somewhere in between.
Meanwhile, don't buy anything that's no modify for the next owner and set to buy on touch, because at the time I first encountered it, the liason said it would be extremely unlikely that content already exhibiting the bug would be fixed when the bug gets fixed.
(Edited to add that if the creator is fussy about it, have them try the reproduction)

From: Kitty Barnett * rez a prim * set for sale, and left click default to "Buy Object" * make sure the prim is no modify for the next owner
Oh, snap. From: someone Meanwhile, don't buy anything that's no modify for the next owner Personally, I try to stop there. There's very very few things I buy "no mod", ever, and I can't think of any class of object I've bought "no mod" that hasn't caused me to regret it eventually. I did, once, sell a product "no mod"... briefly... before I caught on. And if anyone out there has my first generation "Stunt Double" contact me in-world and I'll give you a replacement.
