Hello all. I am seriously considering buying an island but wanted to know what kind of machine LL will unbox for me.

If I buy an island today what class server will it be? Class 4 or Class 5? I read that the class 5 servers wont be installed until all Class 4s are gone. Are they gone? Any help on this would be most appreciated.

Thank you

Any new island is Class 5. LL hasn't sold Class 4's since around November 2006. If you buy from a resident, it could be either, make sure you ask first. You can usually tell it's class 4 by the tier being 195 instead of 295. Although there were a few Class 5's released at the 195 tier, but not many. :)

There have also been US$195 class 3s that were upgraded to class 5s in February.
