ok, i keep crashing for no apparent reason. i can be doing "literally" nothing and get booted out of sl. this last time i did get some weird msg about not having enough memory...which is weird considering i have a gig of memory. does anyone have any experience or solutions to being constantly crashed?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled SL? From your description of your problem, it sounds like this probably won't fix it, but you never know.

Can you post your system specs? (Make and model of motherboard, CPU, video card, RAM, etc.) Do you know what kind of power supply you have? How long has this problem been happening?

hi catherine! thanks for getting back to me. i'm not at home, so i don't have all my specs in front of me...but this is what i do know:

Pentium 4 (2.xghz) w/hyperthreading
800 frontside bus
1gig RAM
80gig HD
nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4600 card

and that's about all i know off the top of my head.

could it be a problem with my preference settings inside the game?
could it be a conflict between my monitor config. and my SL settings?

most of the times it just crashes unexpectedly, and then pops me out with a SL crash logger.

the last time, it actually gave me some weird memory warning, saying i had too little or something like that...but i don't see how considering i've got over a gig of RAM and i only had that and firefox open.

any ideas?

Underclock your processor a few notches see how it handles... Worked for me.
