I figured the list of things that are working in Second Life would be much shorter than the list of things that are broken. I logged in (I was one of the lucky ones who could) and observed the world around me. So, here it is...a list of what is not broken:
1. The sun/moon rotation work
2. The time works
3. Open Chat works
4. IMs work
5. Shouts work
Please feed the hampster powering your servers.
Oh, and fire the network mananger and programmers and get people who know what the hell they are doing. The people you have in place are embarassing your company and will eventually cost your all your livelihoods. Yes, customers expect *scheduled* downtimes. Every game has downtimes. However, we do not expect the game to be almost wholly disfunctional for days and weeks on end...especially those of us stupid enough to continue paying you all premium membership fees or tier fees. Sure, we're the fools continuing to pay you money...but ultimately, you are the ones who will go bankrupt for failing to live up to your end of the bargain. I am sure listing Linden Labs as work experiecne will look great on a resume when you go to apply for another company when SL goes belly up.
Figure it out...SOON! Thanks.

Bias?
I guess if I was the only one experiencing the malfunctions I've witnessed, especially in the last 12 hours, then it would be biased.
However, when I am in game with my staff and customers and nothing works...tip hats not working, notecards disappearing from your inventory nor being able to save them, direct pay is inaccessible, Lindens mysteriously not appearing in your account (I am still missing $66300 Lindens), skins not loading, not being able to move in the world, objects not being able to be rezzed, scripts being inoperable, teleporting in or out of sims is unavailable, people not being able to log in to the game, crashing every few minutes, etc ad nauseum...then you combine our collective experiences with the experiences being relayed in other threads listed in the forums stating the malcontent of how the game is (mal)functioning...I think it is safe to say it is gospel...not bias.

I don't get how you can be having ALL these problems...when I don't have ANY? Can somebody with some technical savvy explain how this is possible? I'm guessing it's because I'm on a different server than him? But I go all over, and there's never a problem. How can me and my designers have zero problems, and some people have dozens? I don't know. *shrugs*

Michael, I know you aren't doubting that he in fact or the others of us are having these problems, right?

Hehe, the fact that I am even writing in these forums is a testiment that stuff is jacked up. If it wasn't, I would have absolutely no reason to even look in the technical forums, let alone the others who are also posting here and stating the same problems I am experiencing.
My question for you is - Why are YOU in the technical forums if you are not suffering the same problems we are? The techincal forum is absolutely the last place I would ever go in any forum board if I wasn't having issues of my own. Do you work for Linden Labs and are merely coming here to ease the minds of the restless natives by saying all is well and that these alleged problems we are all having are just in our head...or are all caused by own individual comoputers...or our connections...or that the internet gods just hate *us* and not you?
Whatever the real case is with you, gratz on being the only person to play SL and not have any of the problems the rest of us have. You clearly have a "magical" account. Please feel free to turn over your account information to me at once so I, too, can play SL without any issues. Thanks.
