Geforce 6600gt Apg x8 128 DDR3

I owuld like tho know if any one has this card ... and if so ... if there are ay twaeks that i can use so that i can get in sl .... i have all the updates ect ... but nothing is working so far ...

my prefrence buttons wont work the whole thing frrezzess when i try the hit the apply button .....

AND HARDDRIVE ... IM GETTING A LITTLE TRIED TOO ... JUST BOUGHT THIS CARD ... AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD WORK WITHE NOW TROULBE BY NVIDIA ... TOLD THEM EVERY THING ABOUT MY COMP AND SECONDLIFE ..... IM GETTING BACK TO SQURE ON LIKE I DID WHEN I HAD THE WHIMPPY 5200 CARD ON MY COMP ... WHATS NEXT ....

This doesn't look like a graphics card problem to me. This looks rather different. Okay, there's a stock MS font that can't be found. There's an image-file that fails to load. And then there's a slew of network issues followed by the agent initialisation subroutine returning a null pointer.

I'd say the graphics card is the least of your issues here (and quite probably not an issue at all). I'd like to be able to offer you more advice that could point you in the right direction, but there's something quite wrong happening either at the filestructure level or the network level or both, IMO.

Well im going to see if a radeon will fix this or not .... ill get a ATI Radeon 9600 128MB DDR VGA Card w/DVI Tv Out V36

see if it more stable .. damn .... just odered that one too .. i hope this will work for me ...

will be here in 2 days ...... the wastes of money on cards ill see if one of my family menbers will buy the one i just oprdered

i have the same card and love it! it works like a charm.. im so very sorry for your problems ..i just wanterd you to know others are using that card with great results.
though perhaps the system hardware you have isnt working well with the new card. i put the same card in a ati based system(ati motherboard chipset) it didnt do so well

Aggelos just wondering does any of the ppl you know thgat are using the same card ... are they using a Emachine ... ???? i would love most thouths and details about this .,.. to get this thig running

And Re: how can you tell if your MotherBoard is crapping out on you .... Cuz of Upgrading the hardware and updating sotware .... as i know some MotherBoards wont Except some stuff and dont want to burn this one out completly ....

I have both cards.

I have a Radeon 9600 in one machine, and an GeForce 6600 GT in another. Both run SL fine, but the 6600 GT is MUCH faster than the 9600. If you get the 9600 working you may find your frame rate suffers compared to the GT. I believe that the ATI card most equivalent to the 9600 is the Radeon X800 Pro.

Going from the 6600 GT to the 9600 is a significant performance downgrade. I guess I should qualify this by adding that this isn't necessarily true for all applications.

I agree with Tateru that this may not be a hardware issue. Have you tried installing the latest drivers?

Yes and Smiles Persephone i do have all the lastest drivers chip set ect ... in here ... so i dont know have refomated my comp 2 times already ... relaoded every thing ... again ... uninstalled sl munberous time i can tell ya .... but have no clue ... been here a long time ... then this happens ...

im digging for any soultions here to get this going ...

i have even made a appiontment ... to have my comp analized at a comp shop to go thou some testing on it as well .. Like a check up at the drs... smiles ...

im doing every thing i can think of even bring in a tech ... to look at things now ... ...

so after ..that then ill have a better idea as well ...

I noticed in another thread that you had this problem with a previous ATI card as well. I am wondering if there is a problem with your AGP slort or AGP drivers. This might be a direction to check with your technican.
