Hi everybody  It may be a stupid question, but I was just wondering............because I've exceeded my 12GB/month download limit on my broadband connection for the 4th month in a row due to SL  Do MMORPG's and such use just as much MB's? Does anyone else exceed thier limits every month? |

SL is entirely dynamic so everything is downloaded to you as you tp/fly/walk around, although that shouldn't be as high as 400Mb for just an hour  . It's more 150-250Mb/hour for me at most. An audio stream would take up about 55Mb/hour, video a multiple of that. If you're listening to music in-world, or watching videos I'd definitely suggest you only do that very sporadically. When I stopped listening to audio streams, my download for SL dropped by half . (Dropping draw distance down to 128 or even 96 should help some as well, although not nearly as much as not listening to any streams would) |

Preferences / Network / set the cache size all the way up might help.
