ok i dont know what was "maintained" today, but now my ava wont fully rezz, half my home is swamped in grey goo, my clothes wont "wear" and when i drag and drop them onto my ava, they "disappear".( not from inventory, from ava)
who broke it?

Hold down ALT and press either the right or left arrow button on your keyboard to spin your camera around you 360 degrees. It is not always an instant fix,but it does seem to help speed up rezzing issues

Huge Problems!

SL is not functioning correctly. I am experiencing a lot of problems:
a) while walking, or flying, I suddenly loose control of the avatar which goes in a straight line, inclined, downwards, entering the ground. There's no way to stop this. I finally am logged out by SL. I must restart the program.
b) I am having a lot of difficulty editing objects. Some cannot be selected anymore.
c) I am having difficulties taking my creations to the inventory; only does it partially.
d) When I arrive to a destination, sometimes I am stuck in mid air, moving arms and legs as if falling, but, I am in fly mode and cannot revert this situation. Must log out.
The changes that were done lately to SL seem to have introduced several MAJOR issues. I hope the technical stuff is working on a solution and it is deployed soon.
As it is working now, SL is very unreliable and unstable, at least in my case. Yesterday, it was an entire different story.

old issues being magnified by unreliable fixes,
but shhhhh you are not suppose to notice those new and improved "unexpected features"

This is connection lag. Your AV keeps moving forward until it gets a packet from the server saying to stop. If your connection drops out, you just keep right on moving, until either the stop packet arrives or your connection drops.
Also sudden sim overload from gray goo or overlapping physics or bad scripting can cause the sim top stop updating people for a moment, leading to this wandering forward into the ground.

The rightmost menu has options to control editing, such as "Select Only My Objects" or "Select By dragging"... check those

Can be more connection lag. Might want to check that your Internet connection is reliable and not dropping out occasionally.
