I downloaded the new upgrade.
At the end of the download I got a message something to the effect
/ncos installer failure....contact the author of this installer for an updated copy.
(or something like that)
HELP!!!!
I have never run into this one before. Normally SL just self installs.
-------Additional Info ---------
OK here is exactly what I have
262.exe 19,508 Kb
upon execution i get this..then nothing (poof)
ERROR MESSAGE The installer you are trying to use is corrupted or incomplete. You may want to contact the author of this installer to obtain a new copy. It may be possible to skip this check using the /NCRC command line switch (NOT RECOMMENDED)
Ill try downloading (sigh) this monster again. Will keep this updated.

auto update easy to break, delete your windows temp folder winxp is usually > C:\Documents and Settings\~yourlogin-name~\Local Settings\Temp~ Need to be able to see hidden folder to do this manually :> redownload it from secondlife.com, and try install then Only time i gotten it was a fluke, and deleting all temp files for windows temp, solved it.
