Somehow after i bought some new things to my avatar, the game seems to crash all the time? Is it due to lag of these clothes ? shouldnt be since i use an 8mb connection. But its really wierd that it started just after i bought these clothes... Anyways, is anyone experiencing something similar? If so.. how did you manage to "fix it" ? Thanks

Thanks Are they just clothes, or did the set include attachments? This would be things like complicated looking hair or skirts/dresses. Sometimes those cause a lot of client side lag.

Does it crash every time you go into Appearance mode, or just when you wear new clothes, or just when you wear a certain set of clothes?
Do you know what make and model of CPU, motherboard, RAM, (and this is the important one) video card you have? Have you installed the latest video drivers from ATI or Nvidia, depending on your video card?

Ive spoken to alot of player inside SL , and aparentl this is a common problem that the client just freezes on you or crashes you back to h desktop.
im using a p4 2.8g on an asus board GfTi4200 128mb, with the latest drivers and 1.5gb DDR RAM
The clothes that i bought had objects attached to it yes, but the game wasnt lagging thats the wierd part of it. Anyways, after a few reboots I can run the game for a couple of hours now, before it crashes/Frezes on me for a couple of times, then a few reboots again and aydayada again etc... So its not just when i go into appearance mode, it can happen jsut about anywhere afaik. The wierd part is just that it started to happen after i bought them clothes, but it has also happened with common white shirts and stuff and org skin. Ive tried to use 50mb to 1000mb cache size, none of them improves my client, nor does the Network usage slider work for my benefit :I

What kind of cooling setup do you have on that video card? What combination of RAM do you have? If you know the manufacturers and speeds of the individual DIMMs, that would be best.

A couple of thoughts:
First, I'd suggest updating Windows to at least Service Pack 1 (preferably SP2).
Secondly, there does appear to be a bit of bad network data on your log. By any chance, are you using wireless networking? Do you have any internet security software running (besides antivirus)?
Finally, your video card is reporting only 32MB of memory. This might be a sign that your motherboard could use a BIOS update.
