I'll log in to find that the avatars of some or all of the people around me are invisible apart from their attachments.
Re-logging usually fixes it though occasionally I'll find the opposite problem that....
I am now invisible apart from my attachments and I can see the other people !
This will persist indefinitely after log-in so isn't just a case of waiting for the streaming to complete as it is in most cases (by the way what's up with texture streaming of the world lately, it seems to be getting worse and worse as does packet loss !)
This isn't just happening to me, yesterday I was sat in a circle with some friends and another friend wandered by who couldn't see any of us till she re-logged.
Also, after being logged in all day, I happened to wander by a major clothes store and eventually I realised there were invisible people stood behind me when I noticed their hair pieces getting into a helicopter and flying off - surreal or what !!
It's kind of weird and annoying, as if the server is just giving up on streaming stuff.......
Likewise, clothes changing is *really difficult* sometimes, clothes just stubbornly won't appear, alternately wearing/removing/wearing can help 'kick' the response but it's awfully frustrating. When clothes do appear they often stay blurry till I take them off and put them on again.....
I'm on an 8 Mbps DSL connection, using a dual 2.5Ghz Power Mac G5, 2Gb RAM with ATI X800XT 256Mb video card
Things were OK way back but everything just seems to be getting worse of late, any ideas/comments about this pot-pourri of issues ?
