Ok, Ive installed a couple SL updates since the last time I actually sat down and tried to build something in game so I'm guessing this problem has something to do with one of the new releases of SL because it never did this before. When I am in edit mode and I zoom in on an object to try and line it up with another object, as soon as I begin moving the object my view immediatley zooms out, and even stranger I just tried this before coming to post this thread and what happened was when I grabbed an object to move it my view zoomed out and then began slowly spinning around the object that I was working with, and continued spinning until I released the object. Any help with this would be appreciated because it is starting to get rather annoying.

Are you editing reallly close in ? there is a new thing in
preference / Input/camera / Automatic Edit Camera Movement Im still baffled what this thing do, i never really noticed anything with it on, but i have it disabled. Im not to sure what youre having tho, but i noticed sometimes when you edit close in and drag with grid on, you auto scale out to see the ruler (annoying). That what you have? |

This is a bug that has existed since the first release of 1.6. Why they haven't squashed it yet is anyone's guess. The good news is there is a work around. When you're zoomed in close, use the numbers to manipulate your object instead of using the arrows. The numbers don't affect the camera the way the manipulator tool does.
Using the numbers is slower which can be more annoying, but at least it works. It is also more acurate if that helps you feel any better about it. Hopefully they'll fix this problem soon. _____________________
