Hi everyone, I hope I can get some help, I orded a new connection 3mbs down 1mbs up the isp uses Motorola Canopy Wireless Stations and Recieivers. Lucky I kept my Dsl longer because I cant connect to SL on the wireless. On dsl I get a 207.155. ect IP when I connect. But on wireless which is broadcast across town via Canopy I get a 192.168.10 IP.
When I try to login to SL I get to Region Handshake then a Sl box appears with the Error

"Unable to connect. Login packet never recieved by Login server. Please try again in a few minutes or click help for advice and the link to the systems status web page.
There is a OK and help button.

I hope this gives someone some clues to my problem if they ran in to the same and the fix to get me going. I love the wireless its so fast compared to dsl.

Thanks for all your help

Totally sounds like a routing issue with the ISP. You are on a private address network (192.168...) I would talk to the ISP and see what thay say first. I suspect they won't let the the packets through the port SL uses. There might be a way around that in the client (I see there is a port option int he preferences now, but thats beyond my networking savvy).

Have you asked your ISP?

No, LL does not read the forums, at all. If you read at the top - SL Forums > Resident Forums > Technical Talk > Technical Issues

The only two official forms of support from LL are an in-world 'Help Request' or an email to support@lindenlab.com
