Can't log into SL since the update

Ever since the last update, I cannot log into SL from my laptop. I get the following message every time:

Unable to connect to Second Life.
Despite our best efforts, something unexpected has gone wrong.
Please check www.secondlife.com/status to see if there is a known problem with the service.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I still keep getting the same notice. I'm not sure what to do. Can anyone please help??

I got the same notice (among many other errors). The times that I can log in I cannot teleport anywhere. I get an error that the region logged me out. I am now getting an error saying the login packet wasnt received by the login server.

This is soo frustrating and has only been happening in the last day or so. Anyone else getting these errors too?

ok.. I ended up uninstalling my Norton virus thingy. And reinstalled it. That worked. Yay!
