The sound files that we hear as footsteps, the wind, "Bananaphone", etc., have been stored in the cache folder as *.dsf files, on pcs, at least; the dsf files just being wav files with the extension changed to dsf.

I believe these "dsf" wav files used to remain in the cache folder, but I wouldn't swear to that in court.

I had the cache folder on display while closing SL and noticed that the dsf files are vanishing now when SL closes.

Is this a change and is it intentional?

Those .DSF files disappeared when SL 1.6.x was closed too.
