Recently I have had a lot of crashes while sorting through my inventory items. In particular, it's crashing when I try to delete an inventory item. I've reported it via the crash logging feature, and via a bug report, but I wanted to see if others are also experiencing this glitch.
I'm on a Mac Mini, running the current release of SL. No other apps open. High-speed cable modem connection to the Internet. In general, the system runs SL fairly well, though like many people lag can be an issue. The Sim I am in when this is happening is The Forest.
In-world, I try to sort through a bunch of freebie clothes and other inventory items. I spend a few minutes sorting blouses into one folder, t-shirts into another, pants onto another, and some complete outfits into folders of their own. No real problems, usually.
Then I open a folder and realize that I now have two copies of the same jacket, collected from two free sources. Or I toss something out on the floor to determine what it is, take it back into inventory, and decide to delete it. Either way, I open a folder and select an item, and delete it. Or rather, I try to.
On occasion, especially after doing a number of changes to folder organization, when I try to delete something from Inventory, SL crashes. It freezes up for a minute or two, then crashes back to Finder. On launching SL again, if I don't wait for a minute or so after the crash, attempting to log in gets a message that it can't find the login server. If I quit and re-launch SL, or if I just wait a bit after a crash, SL launches and logs in normally. When I get back in-world, the item I was attempting to delete has usually, but not always, been deleted.
It's happened ten times or more in a single evening. It seems most likely to happen when I've made a rapid-fire series of changes. If I work 'too fast', crashes seem more likely than if I take more time.
